Folk Arts Quartet

The Folk Arts Quartet's debut album showcases the group's versitality and unique style. In each composition or arrangement they combine the folk music from Scotland, Canada, and America with arts music of the string quartet tradition. This hybrid preserves the dance-like freshness of the folk music tradition while sprucing it up with an almost classical awareness of counterpoint and harmony.
